News you can use

• During the summer, there will be two newsletters: this one for May and June, and the second for July and August. Be sure to mark your calendars with all important events!

• The damaged windows in the bathrooms will soon be replaced, thanks to generous donations by LBC members.

• Assistant wedding coordinators are needed to help Erna Wiemer, our volunteer wedding coordinator. So far, we have weddings scheduled in June, July and August. This is a very important part of LBC’s ministry, and it also brings in a substantial amount of funds. Talk to Erna, Pastor Mary or a church council member if you’re interested.

• Mary alerts us that while some trees around the church don’t look very healthy, there’s no cause for worry: “We have assurances from our resident arborist that they are not dying. They are sycamore trees and are responding to the stress of unusual weather. They are healthy and will come back strong next year.”
